Neepawa Co-op was formed in 1929 to handle petroleum and other farm needs, with service expanded to include a lumberyard and grocery department in later years.  Gladstone Consumers Co-operative began in 1946.  In the 1960's, to cut delivery costs and encourage "bulk" buying, talks began between Neepawa and Gladstone regarding amalgamation of the two co-ops.  In March, 1969, at their annual meeting, the members of the Gladstone Consumers Co-op voted in favour of the Gladstone facility becoming a branch of the Neepawa Co-op, and the name was changed to "Neepawa-Gladstone Co-operative Limited".

Over the years, Neepawa-Gladstone Co-op has continued to expand existing buildings and build new facilities according to the needs of the membership, the newest being the granular fertilizer plant at Neepawa Agro.

The Co-op has always been proud to support programs within the communities in its trading area.
